Tide-Driven Flats Migration

As the tide turns and begins pushing back in, fish follow the leading edge of cooler, well-oxygenated ocean water onto the flats to root out crabs and mantis shrimp, making the tidal curve the primary factor in daily fishing success.

The English Channel Tidal Funnel

The atoll’s primary deep-water passage, known as the English Channel, acts as a high-velocity highway where giant trevally, tuna, and sharks actively ambush baitfish draining out of the lagoon on falling tides.

Diverse Secondary Targets

In addition to bonefish and giant trevally, the atoll's inner reefs and coral flats provide prime sight-casting opportunities for triggerfish, bluefin trevally, and cruising bumphead parrotfish.
